This is easily the best video we have ever made, and to be honest, I don't know how or if we'll ever be able to top it. Clips are all hit from players while they were in Exalt - no old clips were used. With that being said, big shoutout to the editors and and all the boys, this was super fun to make. Gun to my head and i can name most of the clips in this video. I would watch it religiously every time before playing during 2015-2017 (like i would do to skate videos before skating). Songs, clip placement and obviously the clips are perfectly put together for this masterpiece of a video. So many fucked clips i would waste all this review writing them off. For me its my favorite from the extol series even if standards are “lower”, i also consider this the blueprint for many of the big tts that came out later (like raw videos also heavily influenced exalt).
2015 was kind of a weird time for CoD. The vibes were bad. Advanced Warfare had come out the previous November and completely flopped. A lot of people hated Ghosts in 2013 too, with its weird killfeed and boring maps, but they were mostly content to just go back to Black Ops 2 for another year. AW was straight up awful and basically died on arrival. Loads of people quit and never came back. We, the nerds who still cared about this stuff, needed something to get hyped on. EXTOL was that thing. 11 years later and this is still a fucking heater of a video. Survy's nosc quad was so genuinely shocking and unprecedented at the time. If I remember right the lore is that he hit it while his mom was folding laundry next to him and he had to pretend like he wasn't freaking out. Probably my favorite closer of any big TT.
